Malcolm Gladwell's books: The Tipping point, Outliers, Blink...
Malcolm Gladwell is a journalist and writer, best known for books that popularise areas of science, especially science related to human behaviour: The Tipping Point, Blink, and Outliers are some of his works. What these books have in common is an interest in what a methematician would call nonlinear aspects of the way we function, as individuals and as groups: how we may make better decisions based on less information; how small changes can yield very significant changes; which characteristics people at the extremes of human performance have in common. Well written, at times controversial, these books are ideal for a discussion about how we function.
