Let's open the jazz season with some easy listening!
Summer seems to come to its end now but so does the summer break at Jazzschmiede! I propose to open the new jazz season with a band called "Groovin' High", so named after a piece by Dizzy Gillespie. According to what Jazzschmiede says, they offer fusion music combined with jazz-funk. Hmm, make of that what you want ;-) Anyway, you can listen to a sample here:
Easy listening, I'd say, not particularly sophisticated but quite entertaining. The announcement (in German) is here:
As usually, admission is 12 euros.
Practical information section:
The music starts at 20:30 but as usually it's advisable to get there well ahead of time in order to secure the most attractive seats, which are at the tables right in front of the stage. There is a bar at Jazzschmiede so we can chat and have some drinks before the music starts.
You need to pay for your ticket at the entrance.
Here's how to get there:
As you'll see, there's a tram and several bus lines.
There are pubs close by so we can go to one of them after the concert.
Any questions? Feel welcome to contact me.
CU at the concert!
