Indonesian Culinary Culture in Transition
Lunch Buddies Group together with Jean-Pierre Poulain would like to discuss more in-depth about Indonesian culinary cultures which are shaped by multiple traditions that reflect regional particularities, colonial history, religious and ethnic influences.
He is professor of sociology at the University of Toulouse Jean Jaurès and member of CERTOP-UMR CNRS. Holder of the "Food Studies" Chair at Taylor's University, his research focuses on the links between food, culture and health. He co-directs the International Associated Laboratory (LIA-CNRS) "Food, Cultures and Health".
We will explore much thing about Indonesian Food Barometer which developed in partnership with Seameo Recfon, as well as an ongoing research program on the enhancement of Bali's food heritage with Udayana University.
