My name is Andrea and I'm the consul of an analogous group in Florence.
We usually base our activities in Tuscany but this time the excursion will take place in your wonderful city!
I'm really glad to be hosted in this group (thanks to Petra!) and I look forward to intensifying this collaboration in the future.
Our excursion will start from Bologna Central Station and will lead us across the city and under the longest portico in the world to the famous Basilica of San Luca, situated in a panoramic position on the Colle della Guardia.
From the Basilica we will descend to Casalecchio di Reno through the old path of Bregoli, to conclude our walk in the suggestive Parco della Chiusa (ex Sampieri Talon).
From Casalecchio di Reno we will come back to Bologna Central Station using public transportation.
Here’s some features of the excursion:
Length: about 9 km
Total difference in altitude: about Protected content
Difficulty level: Easy
Actual walking time: 3 hours (+ stops)
Duration: Full day (packed lunch by the participants)
Equipment needed: hiking boots or sport shoes with threaded sole, water supply (1,5 l minimum).
Recommended Equipment: clothing appropriate to the season and the weather, camera.
We will be together with an environmental and touristic guide, who will explain more about the history, the flora and the geology that characterize the area we've visiting.
If you want to spend a carefree day, walking and taking pictures together with a bunch a people who love doing the same, this is your opportunity!
I look forward to receiving your confirmations!
