Larch Hike - Chester Lake
Time: 4 hours
Chester Lake is a popular out and back, multi-use trail.
The path to Chester lake is quite wide and through the trees you will have views of Mt Burstall.
Eventually you will enter a clearing that is best seen in the fall with the diverse landscape and golden larches. We will continue on to Chester Lake that is surrounded by mountains.
At Chester Lake we will have lunch and explore around the lake.
We will return the way we came.
This hike is suited for all hiking abilities.
Saturday is supposed to be snowing, this will not be a problem as the trail is wide and easy to follow.
Please bring snacks & lunch, at least 1l of water. Weather can change quickly in the mountains and so bring layers, insulating, rain/wind. You must have proper hiking shoes or boots and bear spray.
Recommended to bring, micro-spikes, gaiters and poles.
Bring socks & shoes for after the hike.
We will meet at Dalhousie LRT Station and Carpool out.
