Who are companies’ stakeholders in the internet era?
Traditional theories about companies' stakeholders have proved to be ineffective in the internet era, where connectivity and relationships play a key role. The internet is providing new opportunities for citizens and stakeholder groups to be informed, identify common interests, express and share opinions and demands, organize and coordinate interventions on companies. On the other hand, the internet is a powerful tool for corporations to engage in constant and direct dialogue not only with consumers but also bloggers, journalists, prospects, and so on.
Nextplora, a market research institute, has identified new stakeholders from social media and called them "the Partakers", based on a survey and subsequent data collection and analysis. Results will be discussed during the conference.
