Coronavirus and the Evolution of Brand Communications - Webinar
in times of crisis, companies need more than ever to communicate with employees and customers.
Though, how they communicate has to adapt and evolve to stay relevant. Companies have to rethink advertising and promotion strategies to be more in line with the current zeitgeist.
The coronavirus crisis is no exception.
In the absence of events, fairs, shop windows and outdoor advertising, brands stay connected with customers more online, reaching them on their sofa in the living room.
To increase their visibility and create engagement companies are experimenting with other social media channels such as LinkedIn, Telegram, TikTok, but also new communication formats.
And what do companies communicate in these times?
The aim is to create value rapports rather than selling opportunities, therefore:
- Address customer concerns (e.g. notes about improved sanitation)
- Provide relief (e.g. waiving change and cancel fees, but also promoting contests and crowdfunding)
- Show empathy (e.g. devolving funds for the community).
During the webinar, a collection of several branding best practices for each of the main industrial sectors will be presented. Comments and discussion will follow. Participants are welcome to bring own best practices.
Let's get inspired by the insights on brand communication!
