Gisaengchung (Parasite) — infected by 1st Korean Palme d'Or win
The members of the Kim family, rich in street smarts and little else, perennially unemployed, find the perfect hosts in the well-to-do park family. Bong Joon-ho, of Snowpiercer fame, continues his study of the haves and the have-nots.
Gisaengchung (Parasite) received a 8-minute standing ovation at Cannes before going on to win the Protected content d'Or, the first Korean film to do so.
