Jojo Rabbit is a World War II satire that follows a lonely German boy whose world view is turned upside down when he discovers his single mother (Scarlett Johansson) is hiding a young Jewish girl in their attic. Aided only by his idiotic imaginary friend, Adolf Hitler (director Taika Waititi), Jojo must confront his blind nationalism.

Please be aware that this movie is probably not for everyone's taste. I'm not sure if I will like it, either, but it garnered so many nominations and reviews, good ones and bad ones, that I decided to watch it and make up my own mind. I hope some of you are interested, too :-)

"Jojo Rabbit is a film that certainly polarized the audience with its bold satire, however, its message of tolerance and understanding ultimately rang through." (Aspen Filmfest)

Nominated for six Academy Awards - Best Picture, Supporting Actress (Scarlett Johansson), Adapted Screenplay, Film Editing, Costume Design, Production Design.
