Sunday Brunch In A Picturesque Neighborhood
The Canal Saint-Martin is located east of Paris. It extends over 4.5 km and has nine locks. Its construction was decided by Napoleon Bonaparte, then first consul, and was completed in Protected content .
Given the many construction works of the Canal Saint-Martin, it seems that the Hotel du Nord was built around Protected content . It belonged to Mr. and Mrs. Dabit, the parents of Eugene, author of the eponymous novel of Protected content . In Protected content , it is a modest hotel of forty small boxes, with a dilapidated but energetically polished floor. The stairs are narrow, we rent by the week. Windows, we can see the canal and the attic, where accumulates a customary bric-a-brac, a typical panorama of the roofs of the East of Paris before the war. The Hotel du Nord has a small picturesque courtyard with stables, chickens and linen. The dining room has its zinc slabs, white and black floor and welcoming tables.
=> Later we will walk along the Canal Saint-Martin to digest the good food full of memories and nostalgia.
