When Anna, a schoolteacher from Baltimore, finds out that she is dying, she and her brother Carl decide to go on a trip through Europe. One of them is after a cure. One of them is trying to manage with the help of the indulgences of life. Paula Vogel's surreal dramatic comedy explores the ups and downs of sibling love and how to cope with the unthinkable.
