Sunday Afternoon Play Reading
The Finn-Brit Players has invited us to join them this Sunday at 2 pm. for a casual reading of four short plays.
The concept is simple: we read a play together out loud in good company. Everyone who wants to gets a chance to read, but it's perfectly okay just to listen. Copies of the script will be available to participants. Remember to bring your own snacks and refreshments.
Here are the four plays which we'll read on Sunday:
Anger Management by Robert Scott
A group anger management session takes a turn for the worse when the facilitator suggests the participants re-enact the things that got them sent there in the first place.
It's About Time by James P Brosnahan & Joseph S Kubu
Nick has brought Kim to the museum to look at art, but also to propose. Unfortunately they are interrupted by Nicholas who seems to know a lot about art and the two of them.
Rambles On Radio by Robert Scott
Christopher is delighted to be performing his play on the radio with his daughter in a starring role, but others are less content with the casting. Worse still, there’s more drama behind the microphone than is going out over the air.
Warm, Hot, Getting Hotter by Lou Treleaven
As a couple visits a restaurant, it gradually becomes clear that the odd decoration, the strange waiter and the very hot food are not what they seem.
