National Theatre's Video of its "Treasure Island" Production
During the COVID crisis, London's National Theatre is featuring FREE videos of some of its past productions. Starting this Thursday, April 16 at 9 PM (EET) and continuing for one week the featured play will be "Treasure Island" based on Robert Louis Stevenson's Protected content of the same name. The novel is set in the days of sailing ships and pirates and tells of the adventures of Jim Hawkins and his search for the buried treasure of an evil pirate, Captain Flint. The story begins at 'The Admiral Benbow', the inn that belongs to Jim Hawkin's parents.
Our Internations event for viewing "Treasure Island" will start on Saturday, April 18 at 7 PM. To view the video, just use the following link: Protected content
Following the video presentation, there will be a ZOOM meeting to discuss the play starting at 9 PM. You are welcome to join the meeting even if you only wish to listen to the comments of others. Jeremy Smith will post details about how to join the ZOOM meeting on our Event Wall by later this week. He will provide a ZOOM link for joining the meeting as well as a meeting ID and a password.
The video being featured until Thursday, April 16 is "Jane Eyre" which, in my opinion, is well worth watching. You can view it using the following Youtube link: Protected content
