The biodiversity of Indonesia was a major inspiration for the development of biological evolution, a field that traces back to Alfred Russel Wallace. Wallacea is pivotal in understanding the prehistoric links between SUNDA (mainland Asia) & SAHUL(Australia & PNG)
David McGahan is a bioarchaeologist researching hominim expansion. He will present current projects that reveal the region, waves of populations movements and Ancient DNA that challenge former evolutionary interpretations.
