Walk around Hebden Bridge (Pennines) plus food at the pub
Let us have our first autumn walk. We thought a nice 4 hour stroll around the Pennines would be a pleasant kick-off.
It should be fairly easy walk to Hardcastle Crags through a woodland valley.
We start at Protected content walking through the town to reach the river. Then along the riverside to New Bridge. Then we will follow the Mill walk to Gibson Mill. We take a break there and depending on our progress continue upstream or return on the upper path back to Hebden Bridge.
We will end up in a nice pub thanks to the recommendation of a local (Many thanks Matt).
I have booked us a table for 15:30 at The Stubbings Wharf - Protected content
I am looking forward to this walk.
As you might have realised, I'm not Carlos. I do not aim to fill his walking boots and he will be back soon due to popular requests. I also do not claim to have a connection to the weather gods as he has. Therefore please bring appropriate gear with you as it can be gusty, rainy, hailing, cloudy, thundery or SUNNY.
However, I aim to get you safely on the track. provide you with an enjoyable day and get you back home.
Route is subject to change.
11:00 (as the days get shorter we should have a reasonable early start)
We aim to be in the pub by 15:30 to 16:00
