After being forced to move to Greece as part of the greco-turkish population exchange in Protected content , anatolian Greeks did not have an easy life. Because of their differences and living conditions, they have been called the ‘’rebetis’’ (gang member, rascal, rebel) yet their outlawed music could not be held back from growing to be known and accepted as ‘’Rebetiko’’ throughout the country and later, the world. It is a music full of joy on the surface despite of the 'blues' that lies underneath and a little raki is certain to make you want to dance to it for which the venue offers a nice little dance floor.

Istanbul currently offers only a single consistent Rebetiko ensamble that loyally sticks to the authenticity and spirit of Rebetiko. They are called 'Tatavla Keyfi' and their music is certain to take you back in time.

The venue, Protected content is the social facility of the Chamber of Mechanical Engineers (TMMOB) and it offers the atmosphere of a cosy, authentic tavern. It is Protected content

The maximum number of reservations on a single table is limited to 20 people. The venue is able to provide more space if we agree to sit at separate tables which we can discuss on the activity wall if we hit the limit.

We are offered a fixed menu that includes
70cl Raki for 4 people
8 kinds of cold meze
2 kinds of warm entrees to choose from
3 kinds of main courses (seafood, meat, vegetable casserole) to choose from
Other drinks instead of Raki are also available

Total fee: Protected content including live music fee and tip.

The reservation will be made on the number of people who confirm their attendance on the activity wall or via PM to avoid empty chairs. Please manage your attendance considerately with regard to other potential attendees and the venue.

Hoping to see all Raki-Fish-Meze lovers in this special occasion.
Yassou vre Rebetis!
