Sunset Cove and International Coastal CleanUp

Combine some serious beach time with an environmental cause. We get out of the city to the countryside and spend a weekend half relaxing, half volunteering.

That weekend the annual ICC Cleanup is happening and we can attend it either in the Manila Bay or here at the beaches of the green oasis of the former US Navy Base "Subic Bay". Those who want to go out on a weekend trip with benefits are happily invited:

____No Travel and Hotel Packages____
______no money on my side involved.______
You come by yourself or in groups, spend the time with us, choose your own overnight, pay for your expenses. If packages will come up, I let you know.

Day 1: International CleanUp Day
Breakfast together in a place near our clean-up site.
After that meeting with the other volunteers in our group (the Philippines ranked very high in the CleanUps, so prepare to meet many people.) We clean the beaches together till noon.

How does it look like: Protected content

Lunch together at a relaxing beach site

After lunch, we have a short intro about the local and national efforts to handle plastic and trash inflow to the oceans by members of National Coast Guard

We start now to our own little cove and spend the afternoon at the beach with swimming and enjoy the sunset of the cove (that's its name) before we go back to a central place to disperse in each one's hotel.

For those who like to explore later nightlife, we have 3 different night adventure tips for you with different levels of international versus local flair and across different budgets. Hopefully something for every wallet. If groups form, we can see that someone comes with you. It is very safe in the former Naval Base area by the way.

Day 2 BEACH DAY
Breakfast together. Depending on the budget we then either go by sailing boat, fisher boat or cabs to a cove where we enjoy beach time, swimming in a rather remote area without too many tourists. If you see trash along the beach walk, pick it up of course. Depending on the weather (and the willingness to barbecue) alternatively, we leave for an indoor lunch.
After lunch, it depends on the returning time of the members whether we continue or disperse.

How to get there:
There are 3 ways to get to the place:
Inexpensive: Bus (Victory Liner Protected content depending on traffic
Medium: Car (use car sharing!)
Fast: Waterplane from Manila Bay Protected content

More info will follow. As usual: Please sign only up if you plan to come. Create groups from the same areas and travel with carbon footprint awareness (aka car sharing) - besides, it's more fun to travel together.

Of course, if you have questions, don't message me, but write it here on the board so all can read them and my answers. Thank you po.

Looking forward.
