Get into the local food festivals! It will all be happening in Bitez village on Sunday for the 'Just Mandarin' Festival celebrating the harvest from the local mandarin orchards, and particularly of the 'Bodrum Mandarin' now that it has its own characteristics and geographical provenance registered. From 10 am Sunday 29th January, there will be a procession, folk dancing, a Mandarin-based cooking competition, and stands with food and handcrafts. Around 2pm the cooking competition and music might be staged, so hope it's the best time to watch, listen and wander - and taste!
