How The Giants Of The Digital Want To Govern Our Cities
In the era of smart cities, where algorithms are gradually replacing human decisions, what are the stakes for local democracy?
This meeting is a part of a series dedicated to the critical thinking. It will examine the issue of the major confrontation there is between the political city, the historical matrix of Western democracies, and the digitized service city proposed (or imposed!) by the giants of the digital economy, namely Google, Apple, Facebook, Amazon (GAFA) and the thousands of start-ups that revolve around these companies.
The attendance to the meeting is free. It starts at 6.30pm. Let's meet at 6.15 at the entrance to get our seats.
We can later on continue the discussion around a fork and a knife :)
