Lets teach children how to use computers
Do you want to get more involved in working with and teaching children new skills? Well here is an excellent opportunity to get more involved!
Malezi Technical Education Program was founded in January to assist kids from the Malezi center to get skills on the use of computers. The aim is to give the kids access and exposure to computer usage and encourage them that there is better life outside the slums.
We have created a group of volunteers since the onset and we are inviting you to join us every Saturday as from 10am - 2pm to help in guiding the kids on computer training. There is a teacher who will be conducting the training, the work of the volunteers is to sit with the kids and guide them on what will be taught.
The program has taught 55 children to date and there is a dedicated group of 10 dedicated volunteers. You can opt to attend as per your convenience or become a frequent volunteer.
The classes are being conducted at a dedicated venue, with the support of an international organization 20 minutes drive from the CBD on Mombasa Road. Lunch is provided for the kids and all volunteers. Those interested will be contacted for more information on logistics and other details.
