Book Discussion of "The Remains of the Day" by K. Ishiguro
The "Remains of the Day", is a Protected content by Nobel Prize-winning British writer (of Japanese origin), Kazuo Ishiguro.
In the summer of Protected content , Stevens, a long-serving butler at Darlington Hall, decides to take a motoring trip through the West Country. The six-day excursion becomes a journey into the past of Stevens and England, a past that takes in fascism, two world wars, and an unrealised love between the butler and his housekeeper.
Let's meet up at the Protected content and discuss the main themes about this novel.
I will be posting some guiding questions for discussion in the coming weeks.
We hope to see you there!
