Psychology East & West #6-- Emotions & relationships-2
Hey there ya'll!
It's time to meet again and continue to talk about emotions; this time we'll start to discuss romantic relationships. It's an interesting (and somewhat sad) feature of our education systems that we learn so much--but nothing really about how to create good relationships or be good parents. We have looked a bit at the models we inherit form our parents, and these indeed influence our behavior and emotions with a partner or partners.
In this exploration, we'll look at some psychological theories that help us understand why relationships are so difficult and challenging and yet so desirable for many of us. Emotions and romance; emotions and intimacy; emotions and sexuality--these evoke aspects of our psyche and heart that other relationships just don't.
As before, please be ready to contribute, to cogitate, to have fun, and to exchange with others.
The venue will be held in a hutong studio near Protected content If you want to bring a snack or beverage for yourself, and/or others, please feel free to do so.
Same as last time, we will limit the size of our group to 20 members—a larger size just doesn’t work as well for this sort of gathering. As such, if you do sign up and change your mind, PLEASE do cancel your slot ahead of time so another person on the waiting list can be invited.
Sorry, but you are not allowed to join this Activity Group!
We are afraid that you cannot join, because the Consuls have limited access to this Activity Group.
