Off-Road Cycle & Pub Ride Henley :Level 3 Moderate
Destination: Catherine Wheel Pub - Henley
Join us for a moderate off-road ride starting from Reading with a stop off at the pub before returning. Being a Level 3 off-road ride, we will be riding on wide tracks, bridleways, some single-tracks with occasional steep inclines or descents, sometimes rocky or slippery with roots. There will not be any significant drop-offs (none higher than hub height). (This corresponds broadly to the 'Blue' trail category in trail UK centres)
We will cycle for two to three hours, with about an hour at the pub and cover between 16 and 20 miles. This ride is suitable for people who have good level of confidence riding off-road together with basic off-road skills, are fairly fit through regular mountain biking, gym or other physical activity.
In winter the pub will be closer to Reading to make a shorter return, in the summer we will venture out to further country pubs.
The pace will be brisk/moderate and will ride either as a pack or faster riders waiting at intersections, with frequent opportunities to stop as required.
