Many people recognise the importance of happiness in their personal lives. Often, we hear the saying ‘Happy Mother, Happy Child’ or ‘Happy Employees are Good for Business.’
The question is ‘What is Happiness?’ and how do we achieve it? How do we acquire it?

During this panel discussion, we will explore how our panellists overcame their challenges in life while maintaining their happiness and how business can help their employees to be happier at work. This discussion will be moderated by Anisa Tan

About our speakers and moderator:

Vicky Huffey is the Managing Director of Sassy Media Group Hong Kong. Vicky came to Hong Kong seven years ago to pursue her career in the packaging industry, but after a couple of years, Vicky found herself in a position where she had to redefine her career and her purpose. Vicky did this part gloriously. Not only did she manage to find a job that she loves but during the process of searching for her purpose, Vicky became Ladies Captain of Stormy Dragons Dragonboat team and competed in the Club Crew World Championships in Hungary, represented Great Britain at Dragon Boating in China, and also has participated in the 250km 4Deserts race across the Gobi Desert in Mongolia. She is unstoppable

Martyn Ludlow is an Associate Partner at St. James’s Place Wealth Management. Martyn joined the Financial Services Industry in Protected content . He enjoyed a career in both Management and as a Financial Advisor. Martyn specialises in providing independent financial advice to higher net worth clients. His clients live throughout Asia, the UK, Europe, and the Middle East. In Protected content , Martyn faced with life-threatening health issues. Two years have passed, and since then Martyn has not only beaten his illness, but he also has become a health coach for other people who are facing similar health issues. , Martyn also fundraises for a charity by doing Stand Up Comedy.

Devi moved to Hong Kong from Indonesia in Protected content her family. Unfortunately, her marriage did not work out, so she decided to leave the comfort of her family home to start her own life. Devi had never worked for money, but she believes that the decision to leave her marriage and live life on her own terms was the right decision for her. Devi took on three part-time jobs to make ends meet while at the same time completing her Master’s Degree and looking after her children but Devi managed to get through this difficult time with an upbeat spirit. Devi is now working at the Equal Opportunities Commission of Hong Kong. She is also an Access Consciousness facilitator and is a qualified Dream Builder Transformational Coach.

Anisa Tan is a young mother of 2 children, she was born in South Africa and raised in Australia before moving to Hong Kong in Protected content . Growing up in South Africa has allowed Anisa to see the results of inequality, apartheid, crime and violence, firsthand. Anisa has personally overcome abusive relationships and has helped many women and men in similar situations. She has a strong corporate social background and has spent over 7 years assisting unemployed Australians experiencing hardship.
