From #MeToo to #WeToo-Panel Discussion
The #MeToo movement has led to many in the business community to review their policies and practices to eradicate sexual harassment in the workplace. However, little do we know about how #MeToo movement reaches the migrant workers. They are one of the most vulnerable employee groups in Hong Kong due to a number of reasons including the nature of their work which requires them to live in their employer’s premises, the language barriers and their lack of access to information. The migrant workers are also susceptible to intersectional discrimination due to their race and status.
For this reason, we would like to invite you to join a panel discussion about the sexual harassment issue faced by workers and exchange views on the potential roles of corporations.
- Prof. Susanne Choi (CUHK; EOC Member)
- Ms Cynthia Tellez (Mission for Migrant Workers)
- Mr. Adrian Warr (Edelman)
- Ms. Archana Kotecha (Liberty Asia)
