Zoom on French Varieties : Cabernet Franc
Cabernet Franc is one of the major black grape varieties worldwide. In Bordeaux it is principally grown for blending with two varieties we have already tasted : Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. But it can also be vinified alone, as in the Loire's Bourgeuil & Chinon. So if you want to discover this great grape with us and a great AOC which uses it, try to get yourself a bottle of BOURGEUIL ( possibly 100%) at our favourite caviste or any other place of reference. I dont know about you, but personally I can hardly wait.
PS. if you want to get the same bottle (don't have to) >> I got Saint Nicolas de Bourgeuil at Apogée du vin.
