Spectacular Views Up Ole-Essakut
This is a moderate hike with spectacular views on all sides. The Maasai plains on one side and on the other, the city of Nairobi.
Save for the few herds of Maasai livestock grazing on the lower hill slopes, Essakut is delightfully isolated from civilization, and from its summit you get magnificent views of both Ngong Hills and Mt. Olorgesailie.
Mt. Essakut is one of the most beautiful and medium hikes to do near Nairobi .
Hiking trail: The trail start with a flat trek then get steep for about 20 mins, the rest of the trail is combination of steep and flat areas all the way to the top, the trail to the highest point take you through a ridge with spectacular views of the crater below. The trek back is a combination of flat and downhill giving you time to recover before getting back to the bus
