Let's go explore Mt Suswa conservancy, a spectacular 'off the beaten track’ place for hiking and caving.
This double crater volcano has a shield-shaped cone covering an area of about Protected content . Its inner volcano, called Ol Doinyo Nyokie by the local Maasai, rises to an altitude of Protected content above sea level at its summit.
The inner crater, about 5km across, is covered by a forest that is home to various wildlife.
Hiking is commonly done on the inner crater. The views of the crater as you hike are breathtaking. The outer crater is dotted by Maasai homesteads and the community collects water from numerous hot springs established within the conservancy.

Hike Duration: minimum 5 hours. depending on your pace.
Hike difficulty: Medium

Suswa Caves:
The best-known attractions on Mt Suswa are the lava caves on the outer crater with attractions like rock paintings and bat colonies.

Cost includes:
1. Transport to Suswa and back to Nairobi.
2. Water, Conservancy Entry fee, Guide fee.
3. Bottled water. Kindly carry re-fill bottles that are non-plastic or hydration packs.

All payments to Protected content by August 20th.

Note: Rate increases to Kes 4,200/= after August 20th.
