The Lower Omo Valley
Our next long weekend trip takes us to the Southern part of Ethiopia, the Omo Valley . The lower Omo valley is one of the most fascinating regions in Ethiopia, and even in the Africa continent, thanks to the cultural diversity of over a dozen tribes that coexist with varying degrees of peace . 11th of September is Ethiopian New Year. The trip takes place from 8th up to 11th of September
Day1: Arba Minich
After breakfast; fly from Addis to Arba Minich Departure time 11:40AM and arrival time 12:20PM with ET flight # Protected content visit the Dorze Village. Overnight Dorze Loge
Day : Protected content trip on Lake Chamo
Protected content the morning after breakfast at 8:00AM make a boat trip on Lake Chamo to see the largest crocodiles in Africa which measure up to 7 meters . Then drive to Konso and have lunch in Konso . After lunch visit Konso village ad learn about the Konso tribe. Then drive to Jinka
Overnight Orite Hotel
Day:3 Omo People
In the morning , after breakfast take an excursion to a Mursi tribe village which is one of the most well known people in the Omo valley famous for the wooden plates they wear in their lips . In the afternoon, drive to Turmi visit a Hammer village. Overnight in Turmi Kizo Loge
Day:4 Early in the morning at 8AM after breakfast, drive back to Jinka and by chance we might see a market on the way. We will take ET Protected content time 1:00PM from Jinka Arrival time 2:00PM into Addis
