The Hungarian Street Food: Langos - in Winnersh
Hello everyone,
A slightly different event to the usual dinner.
We will be having an exclusive dinner at Protected content Winnersh after closing time.
We could try the Hungarian street food "Lángos".
"Lángos (Hungarian pronunciation: [ˈlaːŋɡoʃ]) is a typical Hungarian food.
It is a classic Hungarian "fried flatbread" that is sold everywhere by street carts and vendors. In the past, it was made from the last bits of bread dough and baked in the front of a brick or clay oven to be served hot as the breakfast of the bread baking day. It can be topped with a variety of ingredients, but is usually eaten as is. Fluffy and light, this popular fair food is made from yeast dough. The most popular topping for Hungarians is cheese and sour cream, with an extra garlic sauce on the dough before the topping is added.
"Lángos" is a true Hungarian speciality that you must try. The very first bite of this golden fried dough is an explosion of flavours. The real "Lángos" is perfectly crispy on the outside and incredibly soft on the inside.
If anyone is interested, we could have Hungarian wines and beers, but we would have to ask in advance.
