Hiking Meditation 23
Twice a month in the last five years, I do hiking meditation at various trail heads around Maastricht to connect with nature and myself. Since I began my own hiking meditation practice I have experienced more energy, motivation and a sense of tranquility. So, I decided to create an event and share it with people in our cozy group.
If you participate you are expected to exactly follow the following plan :
we gather at theProtected content right on time (19:00). In 10 minutes we get ourselves ready for the journey. we start hiking at 19:10 with absolute silence. Silence is the only CODE here. Throughout our little journey, we try to observe and practice the stillness of speech. Every 45 minutes, we take short breaks of 15 minutes, seating or standing, we observe and practice stillness of the whole body. Such patient and compassionate practice will bring stillness of the mind, empowerment, peace, and a better understanding of yourself. Such a meditation can be helpful for anxiety, cancer, diabetes, insomnia, obesity, Chronic Fatigue, and pain. A regular hiking meditation activity can alter how your body responds to stress and alter blood pressure, inflammation, and immune response.
Do not forget to accommodate yourself with some Light refreshments such as water, some fruits, and snacks.
