"For this new Talk, we will be pleased to welcome Gonzalo Recio. Gonzalo loves product, code, design, and growth. He is the Co-founder & Head of Product of Peoople, an app that allows you to discover and collect the best recommendations from your favorite friends and influencers: the movie or book that will become your favorite, the perfect gift for your partner or the trendy restaurant your favorite influencer goes. Without forgetting that you can also recommend everything that makes you feel great!
Peoople counts with more than half a million downloads and already has the support of almost 250,000 monthly active users and more than Protected content using the app.
In late Protected content was awarded the prize for the best Spanish app in the category of Social Network, a recognition of the product and its real value proposition for users and influencers.
Peoople has rapidly grown and has proofed excellent traction in the Spanish market with a trend showing that conversions from recommendations and user retention are high. They have raised funds to accelerate its growth, expand to new markets (USA and LATAM), and tweaking its product.
This year they've gone through The Venture City accelerator, a very intensive program with the mission of boosting the growth of the company by making better decisions based on their data and trying to solve the challenges ahead in product and engineering.
Gonzalo is a Le Wagon Alumni and nowadays an expert in React Native in part thanks to what he learned in the course. He started Industrial Engineering but left it in the third year to embark on the world of entrepreneurship. Serial entrepreneur and investor in tech disrupting products like Foodinthebox. In his way, he has created the startups BFUTC, BOOSTin (created @ Le wagon), and Monkey Balance. He exited his first startup.
Take this opportunity to join us and talk with Gonzalo, the Wagon team and our apprentice developers of the summer batch Protected content a drink!"
