Looking for America
Welcome to the fascinating world of American history – taught by a historian who happens to be an American, with strong German roots, and permanently settled in Belgium for thirty years. Educated in America and Germany, fluently quadrilingual, and having taught history at the BA/MA level in Belgium and the US for some 30 years, I bring a broad perspective to my teaching. This is an extended lecture series, on-going since Nov Protected content a different lecture every time, exploring together the key elements of social, political, economic and diplomatic history from colonization to the Cold War, so as to better understand America and the Americans today. Upcoming topics will include, in chronological order:
- The Origins of the Cold War
(already completed lectures beginning with discovery and colonization have been deleted from the list ...)
Looking forward to seeing you there! Please confirm your participation and let me know if you have to cancel by posting a message on the wall.
