Contradictions in BRICS

To follow up on our discussion over what appears to be a potential moment of transformation in world power, with the help of South Africa based Professor of Economics Patrick Bond we examine some of the hypocrisies, contradictions and weaknesses in the BRICS formation that need to be overcome along the way.
In this video that we will watch and discuss, Bond dissects the historical and geopolitical difficulties of such a disparate alliance set against the (post?) colonial histories of most members, and on how international movements of popular power can address these problems and push things forward where momentum gets stuck.
Of particular focus is the old connection between (apartheid) South Africa and Israel, where the contradiction between the launch of the Protected content case and the interests of some SA elites is dramatically highlighted.
