Lunar eclipse picnic
On Friday, 27 July, the longest lunar eclipse of the century (so far) will take place.
Let’s celebrate this exclusive event with a picnic in the center. The weather will be great that we are sure.
This lunar eclipse starts at 7:14 pm. But this is not visible in Belgium, because the moon only comes up at 9.30 pm. But the eclipse reaches the maximum around 10:21 pm. The moon is then 5.7 ° above the horizon. The total phase ends at 23:13. And at 00:19, it is already July 28, this lunar eclipse is over. The moon is then 16.2 ° above the horizon.
FYI: the longest lunar eclipse also known as a blood moon, this occurs when the sun, Earth and moon align perfectly, putting the moon in the Earth's shadow. The moon will be totally eclipsed by the Earth for one hour and 43 minutes. The red coloring is a result of sunlight refracting through the Earth's atmosphere.
So bring your blankets, pillows food and drinks and let us become Wolves.
Hope to see you all soon under the Full Moon ;)
