TetsuOta #6 - Japan-Style Trip With Steam Train and Lake Cruise

Dear members, let us do again a day summer trip to nice places around.

We will train to Mühldorf and have a stroll through the very nice, yet unknown old city in Inn-Salzach style: Protected content These should be some time for a stop at La Pasticceria Italiana to buy food and/or grab a quick coffee (optional).

Then we continue to world-famous Salzburg, eat during the trip. In Salzburg we have a look at the Mirabell gardens, the Ropac gallery, see Protected content and the old city in general. The hungrier crowd can grab a bite at a new opening on the way Protected content (also optional).

We continue along the Orient-Express rail tracks via Freilassing to Prien, where we board one of the last steam trains in regular passenger service to the pier and board for our lake cruise to the islands of Fraueninsel (with monastery and village) and Herreninsel (with castle park), which we both (re)discover at a leisurely pace.

Finally, we cruise then steam back to Prien, then train back to Munich.
