Do we still want to be mothers? Acceptance of life plans that donʼt include children may be on the rise, but the collective narrative of a happy and meaningful life still urges us to embrace the nuclear family, with all its associated norms and values.

We need new narratives! The man as mother! The woman without children! A family with three parents! As curious ideas or bizarre special cases, these images have existed for a long time, but the majority of care work is still left to women, while men are often denied sensitivity and suitability of any kind.

Against this background, three childfree performers confront the question of whether and how they want children. The audience witnesses an intimate and brutally honest process.
