Let's visit the Trinity Health Services Clinic
Come join me for a visit to the Trinity Health Services Clinic, see more information about the clinic below.
A group of Wits medical students identified the dire need for health care amongst the homeless population of the city and with the helping hand of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Braamfontein, Trinity Clinic was born. The clinic is managed and run by medical and pharmacy students, with the supervision and guidance of qualified healthcare practitioners. It is equipped with a humble pharmacy and four basic consultation rooms. Apart from providing FREE primary health care to our patients, Trinity provides an excellent opportunity for both junior and senior students to contribute to the community in a meaningful way, while simultaneously supplementing their education.
Trinity Clinic is held fortnightly on Mondays in the safe environment of the Church and is run parallel to the Church’s Soup Kitchen.
Trinity is expanding, incorporating HIV counselling and testing, Dentistry as well as providing avenues for the mental and psychological health of the homeless. Each clinic will see an average of 20 patients a night, with hundreds already being cared for.
Trinity Clinic is only strong when standing on the shoulders of volunteers and our qualified doctors and pharmacists
