Dance Performance: "Reverbs_feiern" from Özlem Alkis
A dance makes movement, makes rhythm, makes wind: through the echo of the "reverbs", the choreographer Özlem Alkis creates a moving sculpture, a sounding installation or a dance that continues in the bodies of the spectators. Özlem Alki's choreographies, in which body, sound, movement and materials merge into complex sculptures, are refreshingly clear and still leave the audience in the dark.
In the new version, Özlem Alkis "Reverbs" has conveyed to the participants of "Moving Together" in joint workshops and dance lessons. The group now shows it together with the original cast. The Istanbul-born choreographer, who now lives in Cologne, trained at the Centre Chorégraphique National de Montpellier, the Centre National de Danse Contemporaine Angers and the Cologne University of Music and Dance. The project is realized as part of "Moving Together. Hybrid forms, hybrid identities".
