A Spot of Art on a Rainy Afternoon
Rome is full of hidden surprises, waiting to be discovered. Like the wonderful fresco of Aurora (dawn), leading Apollo across the sky in his chariot. Painted by Guido Reni for Cardinal Scipione Borghese, the fresco is considered to be Reni's masterpiece, which is open for public visits on the first day of each month.
Please note that this is not a guided tour, just an experience to enjoy together. Entrance to the garden is completely free, but I am limiting the numbers because groups should pay to go during the week.
