A Taste of The Tea Plantations in Kericho #2
“Where the green meets the blue!”
“Tea as far as the eyes can see!”
It is a very beautiful place to be, the fresh air amidst the vast tea fields. Our time here was really amazing and I thought to post this again if someone missed it. The morning walk up the hill in the farm to catch the sunrise was an unexpected plus to this place. Really nice Kenyan food, good service, friendly help and more than all, the owner is full of information and well travelled.
The dam was just filling up after the dry season so a little muddy, but now it is crystal clear. It is so relaxing.
Cycling through the fields is more than made-up for by the incredible views across the estates, and the scent of freshly cut tea leaves. We cycled exploring the farm, but we did not even cover the entire farm. There is both really tough and easy terrain.
Let's go explore this place together.
The farm’s guest-house, where we will be staying, is amazing, a lovely cottage with the most endearing fire place! This farm is the perfect escape for a getaway with your friends or family, to experience life on a serene Kericho Farm. 🙂
At the heart of the 1,000 acre farm is a small dam, surrounded by vast green swathes of tea bushes including purple tea bushes.
(We will get a chance to pick some tea as well!) 😉
