This concert was born from the desire to unite histories, people, cultures, peoples and nations. The music set the tone. When I felt and thought about the meeting between Orquestra Gulbenkian and myself, I was not just trying to create an aesthetic and pioneering epic. I was driven by luminous sharing, encounters, desires for harmony, exchanges and hugs. I chose this path because to share the stage is to multiply affections. To feel today the music of Cape Verde embraced by a whole sea of ​​instruments, an archipelago of timbres and other knowledge, is to have two worlds united in an embrace.
