We’ll delve into questions such as:

*Are there really ideas out there that are so dangerous that society is justified in banning their publication?

*How have different societies (time periods) and cultures (places) attempted to curate the ideas circulating in society?

*Is banning or otherwise destroying written materials effective in suppressing the ideas they contain?

*What harm does banning books cause?

*What can we learn from attempts to ban books in the past and today?
