Hey Everyone!

This event is for anyone that likes art, sketching, chatting and meeting new people over a relaxed activity. Locals and visitors are welcome!

The supplies to bring: watercolor paper, watercolor paints, watercolor brushes, paper towels (important), clothes that you don't mind getting dirty and sunglasses if it’s a sunny day. If you’re wondering what kind of watercolor supplies to get, I wrote a more detailed description below.

There aren’t enough free painting events in San Francisco so it would be nice to make this something ongoing. Plus, it’s a great way to start a Saturday and get tips on what to see in SF from locals! I’ll be there at 11 am and I hope to see you there 😊👋🏻

Supplies list:

Professional artist grade supplies I use and recommend: Strathmore Protected content Acrylic Pads or Arches watercolor pads (Rough or Cold Pressed) for watercolor paper, Princeton Neptune Series Protected content Squirrel Brushes and Sennelier or Winsor & Newton professional grade paint tubes. For additional golden watercolors, I recommend Finetec Artist Mica watercolors.

Otherwise if you're a beginner, opt for any brand watercolor paper, just make sure it’s not mixed media paper because those are thinner and don’t take in as much water. You need something that is minimum Protected content . Any watercolor tubes or pans will do. The more expensive paints have less binding material and more pigment so keep that in mind. It’s much more rewarding to paint with rich, pigmented paints. The difference is drastic. As for brushes, the Princeton Neptune series aren’t expensive so if you can, buy those. Otherwise, any brand that’s for watercolor will do. I recommend having a mop brush, a square brush and a round brush to start.

***Note about attendance: Please update your attendance if you're unable to make it because the number of people determines which lounge we reserve.

*** Please only bring watercolor, as acrylic or Pastels are difficult for cleanup and the location doesn’t allow it.

*** The entrance to the building is on Hayes street!
