As such, we'll make it a regular event. Join us for #2 on Saturday 15th September. The preliminary location is Protected content

Ah, politics. Deep down we all love it. It surrounds all of us and we're all exposed to it and it's influences each and every day. But for some reason a lot of us don't talk seem to talk about it. Why is that? Let's meet up and see how we can get something started - a regular meeting whereby we can discuss the issues facing the world. We all have opinions - let's share them*

Important: Let's utilize the "Comments" section here! Please write down in the comments which political topics you think should be up for discussion.

Looking forward to hearing your views!

*Before someone says "oh but what about those with super extreme views etc etc" - let this be a forum and meeting where one can speak their mind. We'll know together if something is too extreme etc.

Topics up for discussion at our inaugural meeting:

1. "Contraception and the political issue that it's not free" / political feminism. (Suggested by Anne-Lena).
We were so engrossed in the above topic that we didn't really get round to the other topics below! Thank you very much to Anne-Lena for the interesting topic and debate and to all for taking part!

In the next meetings they'll be discussed:

2. "Brexit, Trump, and Putin" (suggested by Mihir).

3. Angela Merkel's Refugee Policy - what it means for means for Germany and wider Europe" (suggested by Stephen O'R.)

Those who suggested topics are expected to be able to explain their view point on the topic and answer questions / respond to challenges put forward by fellow attendees.

Please keep your suggestions coming! - write them in the "Comments" section below in advance of the meeting.
