How to Take Better Photographs - EVENT CANCELLED

Do you want to learn how to take better photographs? Then this is the event for you! - a practical photography course in the centre of Porto. We will visit various locations, some well-known including Aliados and São Bento, and others less well-known where we will explain the basic rules of composition; equally valid for smartphones and state of the art digital cameras (and also painting and drawing). The subjects we will cover include:
•Rule of thirds
•Rule of space
•Leading lines
•Framing
•Symmetry
•Patterns and shapes
•Varying the angle
•Depth of field
•Reflections
•Panoramas

The weather in winter can be unpredictable but at the moment the forecast is good, and the light is much softer than in summer. The course will take about 2 hours and should end at about 16:30. Afterwards if anyone wants to discuss what they have learned we can continue at a café or bar.

The course is suitable for all abilities from enthusiastic beginners to experienced photographers who would like to be reminded of the basics.

All you need to bring is something that will take photographs, and your enthusiasm!
