The Bald Archy's
The Bald Archy's are back in town!!
Created in Protected content a spoof of that more serious competition, the Bald Archy Prize provides artists of all styles and standards with a genuine opportunity to create portrait paintings of humour, dark satire, light comedy or caricature.
- e.g. the photo for the event is the Protected content entry by Judy Nadin of Mitchell Johnson , titled “Wrecking Balls (Ashes to ashes)”, a parody based on Milie Cyrus' song of the same title after Mitchell Johnson man of the series performance in the previous Ashes Cricket tournament.
Known internationally as the only art competition in the world to be judged by a sulphur-crested cockatoo named Maude, the satirical side of this event has its basis in the irreverent, larrikin Australian comic comment, with great appeal to people from all walks of life.
I will book places at a nearby venue for those interested in coffee &/or brunch afterwards. Please indicate whether you are coming for exhibition and/or coffee/brunch, or both.
