Autumn leaves canoe trip
It's that time of year again... the leaves gently fall and drift along the winding Siuntio River, and we get to paddle through them enjoying the view!
Come and enjoy the river, cross the picturesque lake, take in the fresh air, indulge in a little grilling and maybe even have a swim if you like to feel refreshed...
We'll set the pace and take breaks according to the conditions and the ability of the group. I know this is the sports group and canoeing is a sport, but this one isn't a race. We're there to exercise, relax and enjoy!
This is a family friendly trip, and we have a couple of drop-in seats reserved for smaller participants to make a three seater canoe. So if you would like to tear your little treasure away from their mobile phone for a while let us know...
All essential equipment will be provided - canoes, paddles, buoyancy aids and waterproof bags for your phones, food or spare clothing.
Please bring with you:
- Towel and some spare clothing (just in case!)
- Food and drink. You will need energy!
- Appropriate clothing - sports or walking clothes are fine
You'll need sunscreen, hat and shades if it's sunny, waterproof top layer and a hat if it's not.
And finally, even though finding yourself in the water is highly unlikely, PLEASE BE ABLE TO SWIM!
Protected content is best reached by car, so we'll arrange shared transport. There are a few suitable pickup places along the way, the closest to our destination is Kirkkonummi railway station. That's reached by the "U" train from Helsinki, journey time is around 50 minutes.
The cost is €35 per canoe for the entire day, so that's €17.50 per person. The canoe rental can be paid on arrival using either cash or card.
Please note the arrival time and stick to it! We will leave promptly, don't miss your boat...
Hope to see you on the river!
