Sorry folks, but the weather got the better of us on this one.

We'll try again next year!

Looks like winter finally arrived! Would you like to take a ride with
huskies somewhere a little closer to home than Lapland? Then this is the event for you!

We'll travel to Lempäälä near Tampere to spend time outdoors enjoying a husky picnic. First we pay a visit to the kennels and get to know the dogs, then we'll pair up for a 1km sled ride. Afterwards we will warm back up with a coffee (or hot juice) and grilled sausage by an open fire in the teepee.

The event is suitable for both adults and children, prices are €30 (adult) and €10 (children aged 12 or under).

We have ten places available, and for this one we require payment in advance to ensure our places. So there are two steps to joining in...

1) Click attend
2) Check your IN message box for bank account details then send your payment

The first ten people who click attend and make their payment get the spots!

If the event is cancelled by the organiser all payments will of course be refunded. Otherwise there will be no refunds. If you choose not to attend after paying however you're welcome to give your spot to another member and arrange payments between yourselves.

We'll arrange shared travel by car and meet up at 13:45 at the venue, so if you're driving and have free space please offer a ride. And if you're looking for a ride please be proactive and ask for one, and remember to be a considerate and above all punctual passenger!

If you have special dietary requirements, or you're just not a fan of sausages and coffee, you're welcome to bring alternative snacks for grilling.

This is an outdoor event and it's winter so please remember to dress appropriately - we will be spending a couple of hours in the cold, so check the weather forecast on the day and layer up!

As you can see from the photos at least one of the dogs (Ketku) is taking it easy so he's ready for your visit... See you on the trail!
