Opera Aida live transmission from MET NY
Hello Opera Lovers!
Protected content season from MET NY will start with this magnificent performance from Giuseppe Verdi.
Aida (Italian: [aˈiːda]) is an opera in four acts by Giuseppe Verdi to an Italian libretto by Antonio Ghislanzoni. Set in Egypt, it was commissioned by and first performed at Cairo's Khedivial Opera House on 24 December Protected content Giovanni Bottesini conducted after Verdi himself withdrew. Today the work holds a central place in the operatic canon, receiving performances every year around the world; at New York's Metropolitan Opera alone, Aida has been sung more than 1,100 times since Protected content . Ghislanzoni's scheme follows a scenario often attributed to the French Egyptologist Auguste Mariette, but Verdi biographer Mary Jane Phillips-Matz argues that the source is actually Temistocle Solera.
One hour before the performance those interested in getting this Opera interpretation for free can attend at "Lunario" where usually master "Vela" gives the Opera interpretation and then you can move to Auditorio Nacional to buy your ticket if you havent bought it yet...a few regulars from InterNations already have our season Opera ticket, so will not be possible to seat aside, but those who come last minute to buy their tickets usually buy these at first floor and I am not sure what the cost this time will be but something around Protected content in First floor.
If I dont get to see you at 11:30 at the ticket booth line, (I will be wearing a black beret) then text me on whatsapp to meet inside in one of the intermediates.
Ladies, girls, if this is going to be your first time, make sure you bring warm comfortable clothes, it doesnt matter if outside is hot and sunny, inside will be chilly because of air condition ok.
